Red Sea II.
Pâte-de-verre glass, stone & metal
50cm x 50cm x 4.5cm

Colour, texture and pattern have always been the main inspiration within my work. I like to combine different materials with my glass works to give my pieces colour variation and depth, such as felt, sand and stones. I use different coloured materials, which I feel gives my work a different look.

I also incorporate different textures and patterns into my works to create a uniquely individual style. In addition to glass, I enjoy sewing, painting, and beadwork. I feel these hobbies inform the ideas I have for my work.

I also observe the natural elements around me. I use what I see around me and incorporate it into my works. In the studio I like to experiment. I am never afraid to try something new. I want my glass works to be unique. I feel exploring new ways of creating helps to give my pieces their own identity. My pieces express my internal spirit and character.
