My work is influenced by man’s reaction and adaptation to the society in which he lives. We all live in a world that grows more complex and in different directions. These conflicts provide ideas from which I create characters and situations and provide me with a constant source of material for my work.
In my work, symbols are expressed mainly through mythological and metaphorical images. They symbolize both personal and common life experience and thought processes that help me understand my relationship to the world. The figurative element acts as the sitting or the canvas on which the images exist. Put in this figurative context, the images become metaphors for psychological and/or psychological states of being.
For me, glass as a sculpture material has helped me give life and mystery to these inert situations and adds a sense of fragility to my ideas and themes.
